Artillery arcade
Banana Battle
A banana, two rooftop gorillas, and a whole city in the crossfire. Rediscover classic artillery gameplay with modern touch controls, destructible buildings, and a computer rival.
Old-school artillery, made for modern screens
Banana Battle is a playful tribute to QBasic Gorillas. Two gorillas stand on opposite rooftops, taking turns hurling bananas through the city. Choose an angle and launch power, account for the wind, and land a direct hit to score a point.
The skyline changes each round. A missed throw might blast a crater through a skyscraper, opening up a new path for your next shot. Everything runs in your browser with no account or download.
Challenge a computer or bring a friend
Play against a computer opponent with Easy, Medium, and Hard difficulty settings, or choose two-player mode to pass the device back and forth. The computer uses the same projectile simulation you do, so the game does not need a server or AI subscription.
Use the big on-screen controls on mobile, or drag across the skyline to set your angle. Desktop players can fine-tune angle and power with the arrow keys and launch with Space.
Getting started
How to play Banana Battle
Choose your opponent
Select Vs computer for solo play or 2 players for local turn-taking. Change the AI difficulty if you want a gentler or tougher rival.
Set your aim
Drag on the city to adjust the angle, or use the angle slider. A dotted guide shows the direction of your throw.
Pick your power
Adjust the power slider to throw farther or shorter. Watch the wind indicator: it pushes bananas sideways while they fly.
Launch and score
Press Throw banana! A direct hit on a gorilla earns a point. Shots that hit buildings make holes; the next player then takes a turn.
