Word discovery puzzle
Playable prototype
Letter Trails
Follow a winding path through neighboring letters to discover as many real English words as you can. Every board is different, with no timer or account required.
Words you discover yourself
Unlike a standard word search, Letter Trails does not tell you what to find. Each four-by-four grid contains discoverable dictionary words. Connect adjacent letters horizontally, vertically, or diagonally, and turn corners freely.
A letter tile may be used once per word. Words must have at least four letters. Longer discoveries earn more points and each word only counts once.
A gentle, offline word hunt
Touch or mouse-drag across tiles, or tap individual neighboring letters and press Submit. Undo and Clear help you adjust a selection before scoring.
The word list is a locally hosted static asset, loaded only when you open this game. The rules run entirely in your browser and your best score is saved locally when allowed.
